Sustainability has been part of our business model for almost an entire century, starting in 1923 when J%C3%A4stbolaget - the company behind Acrylow - replaced grains with molasses. Using molasses as the yeast’s nutrition has enabled us to reduce the usage of the planet’s resources. Sustainability has been at the core of our business ever since. As yeast is a natural product and harmless to the environment, J%C3%A4stbolaget's products have a relatively small environmental impact. Even though it is small, production still affects the outside world in different ways. We make continuous adjustments to our products and processes, for the better.
